The Mission Covenant Church in Värnamo

The Mission Covenant Church in Värnamo is one of the many parishes of the Mission Covenant Church of Sweden. At the present time the parish is comprised of some 700 members.

The Church was built in 1938 and is located in a beautiful setting beside the River Lagan in the centre of Värnamo. Apart from being the centre for worship the Church offers many facilities for the activities of the youth and other groups associated with the Church.

Libanongården
Libanongården, that is a short distance from the Church, provides facilities for the activities of the various Church Groups and includes a pre-school and day-care centre. Each Saturday during the period May to August the parishes of the Mission Covenant Church and Alliance Churches provide a programme of “Summer Evening” entertainment for the citizens of Värnamo.

Libanongården also has a gymnasium that is available for hire by the general public and is almost constantly in use.

The congregation also work closely to provide facilities for worship and child care at the Mission Covenant Church in Åminne where there is also collaboration with the parishioners of the Philadelphia Church.

Everyone who resides in the area, irrespective of their church, is welcome to take part in the services of worship and other activities. Värnamo Mission Covenant Church is open for all that wish to actively follow their Christian Faith, and seek answers to their queries and problems regarding their faith, their fellow man and life in general.

Membership of the parish is open to everyone wishing to share their faith in Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour by simply presenting himself or herself at the Church.
