The Swedish name for this choir is “LIVSLUST”, which means ”Joy of Life”, and the choir is one of five choirs in the Värnamo Church having a membership of over 100 young people within the 15 - 20 age group but “only” 76 of them will be making this concert tour in England.

During the past ten years Värnamo Youth Gospel Choir has travelled extensively giving many concerts in Austria, Denmark, five times in England, Norway, Slovenia and of course, Sweden. They have become well known for their inspiring Gospel repertoire and the joy with which they sing. Their reputation is well established resulting in their not only being well received but also encouraged to make return visits.  They travel with  their own keyboard, guitar, bass and drum accompaniment.  

Their conductor and music director is Adan Brown, B.Mus.Perf., a graduate of the University of Toronto, and qualified as an organist and choirmaster in Sweden, who hails from England. He is the organist and choirmaster in the Värnamo Mission Covenant Church where he leads three of the other choirs. Most of his time and efforts since graduating have been devoted to the establishment and development of many choirs of all ages in many parts of Sweden.  He is responsible for the arrangement and direction of a number of choral workshops throughout Sweden and his services are regularly sought after for the development of the repertoire of choirs and instructing choir leaders.
